American Language Center is located in Huntingdon Valley, Pennsylvania, just outside Philadelphia, with convenient access to New York City, Washington, DC, the Pocono Mountains, and the New Jersey shore. Philadelphia served as the capital of the United States from 1790 to 1800. The Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution were written there. Philadelphia is also the sixth largest city in the United States and one of the most historic cities on the East Coast. Students who study at American Language Center can enjoy access to museums, historic landmarks, cultural events, restaurants, and other attractions throughout the Philadelphia area.

Our center is within walking distance of SEPTA bus stops and Philmont Station on the West Trenton Line. American Language Center offers an English as a Second Language (ESL) program designed to help students improve their English for education, career opportunities, and everyday communication. We provide a quality learning experience with personalized attention, and our instructors use practical teaching methods that encourage students to use English in real-life situations outside the classroom.

Our students represent many countries, cultures, and backgrounds. They include college-age students who are beginning their English studies as well as working adults who want to improve their language proficiency. American Language Center is committed to providing an educational environment that values cultural and national diversity and to maintaining programs, services, and practices that promote respect for people of all backgrounds.

In terms of programming, our center offers an Intensive English Training Program as well as TOEFL preparation. Our program supports the development of speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills. Courses also focus on vocabulary development and pronunciation improvement, helping students build confidence and communicate effectively in school, at work, and in everyday social situations.

American Language Center is SEVP-certified and authorized by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security to enroll F-1 international students. International applicants can find detailed instructions about required documents, financial support, Form I-20 issuance, and the visa process on our International F-1 Students page.

To enroll in our program, please call 215-791-7700 or email admissions@americanlc.org.
