Short-term solutions
Certification of Financial Support
In compliance with immigration regulations, applicants must demonstrate access to necessary funds to cover academic and living expenses for the duration of their studies. You are required to certify that you will have the sum of $13,051.00 for your expenses for your first academic year at American Language Center. You should anticipate tuition increases (i.e. due to inflation) in subsequent years. The Certificate of Financial Support form must be signed by the sponsor (cannot be another F-1 student).
Tuition and fees are due and are payable within 7 days of registration unless other financial arrangements are made. F-1 students are not permitted to work without authorization from the Center and the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. Employment authorization is based on a variety of criteria and should not be considered a source of financial support.
Financial Support & Bank Certification
The Bank certification form must show that the applicant (if self certified) or sponsor has enough liquid assets available to provide financial certification for one full year. (Liquid assets do not include investments in stocks, bonds, etc.). Documents older than three months will not be accepted.
Students entered the U.S. after May 2013 can print their I-94 by going to www.cbp.gov
