LIVING ACCOMMODATIONS

American Language Center does not provide housing or living accommodations for students. However, we may share general housing resources for students who are looking for apartments, homestays, roommates, or short-term accommodations in the Philadelphia area.

Many international students choose to share apartments with other students in order to reduce living costs. Living with roommates can also provide additional opportunities to practice English and build friendships while studying in the United States.

Please note that American Language Center does not verify, inspect, endorse, or guarantee any third-party housing provider, listing, or website. Students are responsible for carefully reviewing housing options and should use caution before sending money, signing agreements, or sharing personal information.

Housing Resources

Below are some housing resources that students may explore:

Longer-Term Options

  • International House Philadelphia
  • Craigslist Philadelphia
  • 4 Walls in Philly
  • Right At Home (Homestay)

Short-Term Options

  • Chamounix Mansion Hostel
  • Apple Hostels of Philadelphia

Important Tips Before Choosing Housing

Before making housing arrangements, students should:

  • confirm the exact address and commute time to American Language Center
  • ask whether utilities, internet, furniture, or meals are included
  • review the payment terms and refund policy carefully
  • avoid sending deposits without confirming that the housing is legitimate
  • ask whether the accommodation is short-term or long-term
  • make sure they understand any roommate, guest, or cancellation rules

Transportation Note

American Language Center is located in Huntingdon Valley, Pennsylvania, so students should consider transportation options before choosing housing. Some students may prefer to live closer to the school, while others may choose housing in or near Philadelphia and commute. Your current F-1 page already presents the school as serving students in the Philadelphia area and lists housing resources accordingly.

Disclaimer

American Language Center provides housing information only as a student resource. The school is not a party to any housing arrangement and is not responsible for the condition, safety, availability, cost, or policies of any third-party accommodation.
